The pioneering of ALSA LC UGM itself was begun in 1992. In 1993, Universitas Gadjah Mada attended the National Conference in UGM, Yogyakarta. This was also attended by another member of ALSA Indonesia, which are Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Indonesia, Universities Padjajaran, and the rest of local chapters. Afie Henry, Pinky Brotodiningrat, Boy Gemino and Joni Getamala (batch 1991) initiated the establishment of ALSA LC UGM. For the success of the event, many batches and human resources were included. Finally, in this year, the ALSA LC Universities Gadjah Mada was officially established. The first Director was Pinky Brotodiningrat, and the Manager of Public Relations was Afie Henry.
