ENGLISH DEVELOPMENT

English Development aims to support and develop members’ ability to use English in their academic activities. This development objective is also aligned with the implementation of the Four Pillars of ALSA, namely ‘Internationally Minded’ and ‘Legally Skilled’. The programmes and functions organized by this division through activities such as writing, seminars, workshops, competitions and participation in international events are expected to have a positive impact on members, enhancing their English language skills so that these can be applied in the activities of ALSA LC UGM members.

PROGRAM KERJA

ALSA CRUSHBONE DEBATE COMPETITION

ALSA Crushbone Debate Competition (ACDC) is a signature program of the English Development Division of ALSA LC UGM.  ACDC serves as a platform for high school and university students to sharpen their critical thinking skills through a national-scale competition, while also broadening their understanding of legal issues in society through an international-scale seminar.

ENGLISH LEGAL OPINION COMPETITION

The English Legal Opinion Competition is a competition and workshop on legal opinion writing open to all law students with the scope of national competition. As such, it provides a platform for participants to broaden their knowledge and deepen their understanding of legal writing.
