ARJUNA
Asian Legal Reform Journal or known as ARJUNA is an annually published Journal that is published every year by ALSA LC UGM's Editorial Board with differing themes each year

Foreword
Asian Legal Reform Journal (ARJUNA) is a double-blind peer-reviewed law journal managed, edited, and published entirely by the students of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, under the auspices of the Asian Law Students’ Association Local Chapter Universitas Gadjah Mada (ALSA LC UGM). The journal is published annually every November.

ARJUNA was first established in 2020 under the name ALSA LC UGM Law Journal and was initially published through https: // www.alsalcugm.org/arjuna. In 2025, the journal was rebranded as the Asian Legal Reform Journal and migrated to https: // journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/ARJUNA. This renewal was intended to align with journal publication standards and regulatory developments, ensuring its continued relevance within the academic community.

As an academic platform, ARJUNA is dedicated to providing opportunities for law students from Universitas Gadjah Mada and other ALSA local chapters to publish their scholarly works in various areas of legal studies. The journal seeks to highlight student-authored articles that address substantive legal issues, particularly those arising in the era of globalization with a focus on Asia.

All submissions to ARJUNA undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to maintain academic integrity and impartiality. The identities of both Authors and Reviewers remain anonymous throughout the assessment, with reviewers selected based on their expertise in the subject matter of the submitted article. This ensures that each piece is evaluated with fairness, accuracy, and academic rigor.

ARJUNA warmly welcomes all authors, readers, and reviewers who contribute to the growth of this journal through their commitment and support. We firmly believe that this journal serves not only as a publication platform but also as a medium through which law students of UGM and other ALSA local chapters can strengthen their knowledge and sharpen their skills. In doing so, ARJUNA aspires to empower students to play a meaningful role in advancing legal reform and addressing pressing issues within society.

As this year’s Editor-in-Chief, I am deeply honored and grateful for the trust placed in me to oversee ARJUNA’s publication. It is my hope that ARJUNA continues to stand as a scholarly space that cultivates progressive legal thought and fosters the academic development of future legal professionals at both the national and regional levels.
