DIRECTOR'S GREETING
Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. Shalom, Om Swatiastu, Namo Buddhaya, Greetings of Virtue to us all. Let us praise God Almighty who has given us the opportunity and blessing to be able to run ALSA LC UGM for 28 years full of collaboration, cooperation, and brilliant achievements. I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to the local board for their hard work and resilience in their efforts to develop a better ALSA. In addition, I would to express my deepest gratitude to the alumni for their assistance and guidance.
ALSA Local Chapter Universitas Gadjah Mada or ALSA LC UGM is one of 14 (fourteen) local chapters spread throughout Indonesia. In its 28 (twenty-eight) year journey, ALSA LC UGM has developed into an organization that accommodates the potential, interests, and talents of its members through work programs that have an impact not only on its members but also on the general public.
This year, ALSA LC UGM focuses on becoming an organization that is able to develop the interests and talents of Members and/or other parties in order to increase intellectuality in the legal field and expand relations in the local, national, and international scope. With the focus and aim of our work this year, we hope that we can develop ALSA LC UGM as an organization or local chapter that is solutive, contributive, meaningful, and beneficial for all.
In order to become a transparent and accountable organization regarding the development of ALSA LC UGM, we are proud to present our very own website as an information channel that can be accessed by everyone. Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA)
Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) is a non-profit, non-political organization that aims to connects law students from the corners of Asia. As an organization that includes 17 national chapters, ALSA has been a melting pot for various culture throughout Asia since its founding over 30 years ago. With the sheer number of national chapters that joined ALSA, the organization has connected around 12.000 students Asia-wide.
Objectives
Develop and promote scientific studies, mainly on legal studies
Optimizing efforts to develop human resources at ALSA LC UGM both in terms of quality and quantity
Building a good network of cooperation in local, national and international scope based on the principle of equality and mutual respect
Explore and develop the potential of Members and/or other parties
Constantly play an active role and try to raise awareness and solutions of legal issues in the society

Nilai kekeluargaan dalam ALSA LC UGM adalah kepercayaan yang dilakukan secara sadar ataupun tidak, guna mempererat dan menyatukan anggota-anggota ALSA LC UGM. Secara tersirat nilai kekeluargaan ini juga mendorong implementasi dari nilai-nilai baik lainnya, seperti tanggung jawab dan tolong menolong.
Nilai profesionalitas digunakan sebagai fondasi dari ALSA LC UGM yang merupakan sebuah nilai keterampilan, penilaian yang baik, dan perilaku sopan yang diharapkan dari seseorang dengan tujuan agar para anggota dapat menjalankan segala aspek hidupnya dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai tersebut.
Manajemen Waktu adalah salah satu nilai yang dijunjung tinggi anggota ALSA LC UGM yang bertujuan agar para anggota dapat memanfaatkan waktu secara efektif dan efisien untuk meningkatkan produktivitas berbagai kegiatan yang sedang dijalani.
Skala prioritas merupakan salah satu nilai yang harus dimiliki oleh anggota ALSA LC UGM untuk dapat menempatkan kebutuhan sesuai dengan tingkat kepentingannya masing-masing. Para anggota diharapkan dapat memahami esensi setiap kegiatan yang diikuti untuk benar-benar memahami kebermanfaatan yang diberikan dari setiap kegiatannya.
